The Raging Grannies of Madison & Dane County
The Raging Grannies of Madison are a group of "women of and age" who sing for peace and social justice with a "hint" of sarcasm and sass. Our Gaggle was formed in 2003 as an extension of The Women's League of Peace and Freedom. We use familiar songs with re-written lyrics to suit the issues we are passionate about, i.e., education, the environment, housing, money out of politics, gun safety, healthcare, particularly women's reproductive care, a peaceful world, etc. Many of our songs are written by members of our Gaggle and others. We believe age is just a number, singing together is beneficial and humor in activism is the best way to get our point across. Join us for some fun!
