Material Boys
The Material Boys is an American Roots Music band from Madison Wisconsin, formed in 2011. They blend their Blues, Jazz, & Bluegrass influences to form a unique Americana sound. The band consists of Alex Hohlstein (Vocals & Guitar) Glen Prescott (Banjo & Vocals) Reid Gromnicki (5 string Fiddle) Larry W Hill Jr (Slide Guitar & Vocals) Matt Douglas (Bass) & Shane Gurno (Percussion). The Material Boys take their name from performing Madonna covers with stringed acoustic instruments. What started off as a joke quickly took off as a serious venture. The Material Boys have performed around the Midwest and have recorded a CD of original music.
