Prescribed Burn
Prescribed Burn explores how social music throughout humanity has been a way for people to process experiences and emotions in both the best and hardest of times. Singing a mix of early jazz and folk songs, we address their history and meaning. When we’re not singing acapella the accompaniment is minimalistic- some guitar or percussion- reflecting the tradition of people sitting close together and singing socially. Additionally, we sing some original songs that draw on these traditions.
