The Apologists
The Apologists play a unique mixture of musical styles known as "Garage Country". Their originals are generally country flavored sagas of lovable losers, ("We're Only Happy When We're Drinking") reworked ancient gospel or folk tunes, (" The Cuckoo") or surfy instrumentals. They play a wide range of cover tunes from Dolly Parton to PJ Harvey from Johnny Cash to Johnny Thunders from Gram Parsons to The Minutemen.
